As we get older our teeth may begin to show signs of wear and tear. Your teeth may wear down and start to look flat, may develop cracks or even break. This is when you may be in need of a crown or bridge.
Crowns and bridges are done in two separate appointments, usually two weeks apart. The first appointment is when we will shape the remaining tooth, take impressions and place a temporary cover over it. The impressions are then sent to one of our expert dental laboratories where a trained technician will create either a gold or tooth-coloured permanent crown. At the second appointment we will remove the temporary cover and place the permanent crown on the tooth.
Well-maintained crowns and bridges can have a life expectancy of well over 10 years and will keep you eating and smiling with confidence.
